CHILD WELLBEING program endeavors a four pronged strategy to address the problem related to child rights and all types of violence against children. They are,
(i) Improving the quality of learning among children through education at the doorsteps of the poor children in the villages and urban slums, to make it an instrument for empowerment of the runaway and destitute / deprived children and make them equal partners in the process of sustainable development
(ii) Making the children and community aware of the violations of the rights of children through education on their rights, responsibilities and duties
(iii) Empowering the children and communities to monitor violations of the rights of children at home, villages, communities, schools and related institutions with enough support systems in place locally
(iv) Advocating for a national level law on violence against children prohibiting all forms of violence and recognizing the rights of the children
• Formation of a committee VLCPC at village level consisting of PRI leaders, PTA functionaries, influential people of the village, local organization or movement leaders, and functionaries from child Rights clubs
• Educate the children through Clubs (Adolocent Girls Club) on subjects such as vocational education, education for sustainable development including child rights,environmental education, health education, ICT skills, language skills, etc. In addition, SCOPE INDIA will focus on improving the quality of education as follows
• Pre-primary Education:- Visual skills - matching identical pictures, finding differences etc as pre-reading activities, Fine Motor skills – Coloring, outlining and threading beads as pre-writing activities, Literacy skills - speaking, ability to tell a story sequentially, Numeric skills – sorting, counting, less & more etc, Primary Education:, Improving Reading Skills of Children, Improving Basic numeric Skills of Children
• Community Initiatives and Community Learning Centers:- Village Libraries and Children’s Clubs,Science and Math clubs, Support Centers and Summer Campaigns
SCOPE INDIA organization would like to establishing child care institutions and child protection initiatives in various places in Tamil Nadu. So as said above, as per the Railway children project guidelines as on March 2015 we are doing children rescue and rehabilitation operation for runaway / destitute children, who are alone and at risk from in and around the Villupuram Railway station. Also in last reporting period (June 2018 to June 2019) we have outreached / supported 511 children (461 Boys and 50 Girls) from Villupuram Railway junction and bus stands. Further our foremost duty is to engaging minimum of 30 children through providing nutrition food, non-formal education, counseling, de-addiction and further rehabilitation process. Since -2012 to 2015 we worked in Madurai area, associating with Action Aid and Vision India for source level intervention to protect child by conducting activity center in and around Madurai area. The present CWC chairman is the than staff of our organization, who has been associated with us for more than 4 years.
RAILWAY CHILDREN project will meet the immediate needs of children who are alone and at risk at Villupuram railway station and rehabilitate them. It will further develop and activate a multiple stakeholder intervention framework owned by Railways at Villupuram railway station, which will continue to protect children who are alone and at risk, who are rehabilitated by activated ICPS at district level

The Project is a targeted children development intervention supported by Railway Children, United Kingdom to pro tect and support for holistic development of Children living in and around the rail way station of Villupuram. The program also tends to prevent illegal trafficking as domestic workers to near by states and metropolitan cities in India of children in Villupuram District and in and around Railway station as domestic workers to near by states and metropolitan cities in india. A separate help desk is also on operation at the Villupuram Rail- way junction to help the missing and alone children and other children at risk

Detailed case study report published in newspaper about “REASONS FOR THE CHILDREN TO RUN AWAY FROM THEIR HOME& TWO NGOS WORKING AMONG THE RUNAWAY CHILDREN IN VILLUPURAM RAILWAY STATION" . The study carried out by two NGOS- RAILWAY CHILDREN INDIA AND SCOPE INDIA is aimed at developing polices that would help enhance the reintegration of runaway children with their families and strengthen the family system . Inbetween 2021-2022 -109 children rescued and reunited with familes .The majority of children (85%)are 15-18 age group. A study conducted among 53 runway children ,who were rescued from villupuram railway station and reunited with their familys over a period of two years ,revealed alcoholism among parents and family conflicts caused by it to be the major reasons that forced them to leave their home
